Similar bronze rings used for horse harnessing and topped by an ibex head with curved striated horns surrounded by a pair of crouching felines dating from the Early Iron Age were found in Lorestan province in the 1920's. The British Museum (1934, 1108.2) and The Met (30.97.12) have very comparable examples in their collection.
